You may be wondering with the title of this post why I am talking about rock's....well I have 6 of them in my life. They are strong and solid. They are the 6 most important men in my life.
Recently both my father in law and grandpa have been diagnosed with cancer. It hasn't been an easy thing for our family. I have definitely had moments that I feel hopeless. I have wondered why God would let this happen to such amazing men of God. But these men keep reminding me that God has a plan and his will is done in each situation. Each of these men remind me that we find our hope in God.
Today I am thankful for these 6 men that are in my life. I want to just share something special about each of them...
Rock 1---My husband.... he works hard each day for his family, to provide, allow me to stay home with our daughter. He loves the Lord with all his heart and you see it in each step he takes. He is an amazing father, husband and friend. I love his sweet kisses before he leaves for work. I adore him. I am his wifey...
Rock 2: My dad (Ron)....He is a strong man. He encourages and is always there. Each step he takes you see Jesus. He loves his family. His heart is so caring. I am his leedy-do, I am his daughter.
Rock 3: My other dad (Charlie)....He is a leader... his heart is so giving...he always puts others before himself...He gives so much to others of his time...He is strong and courageous. His faith is inspiring. I am his Rosie, I am his daughter.
Rock 4: My brother (Scott)....He has a heart for people. He gives of his time. He is a great dad and husband. Each day he is apart of a ministry that changes young children's lives. I am his sister.
Rock 5: My other brother (David)...He is a man of character and integrity....he loves and adores his wife and daughter...he works hard for his family so that Katie can stay home with sweet Ellie. He is faithful in being in the Word. I am his sister.
Rock 6: My grandpa....he is quiet but bold... he loves the Lord with all his heart...his hugs and smile are contagious....he always can make you laugh...he is the legacy of our family. I am his granddaughter.
These 6 men have something in common: Christ... Each day these men wake up and show the Love of Christ and spread that to all those around them.
I am who I am today because of these men. I am so blessed to be in their lives and honored to call them my rocks!
Proverbs 27:17: As iron sharpens iron,
so one person sharpens another
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:8-9

The Helper
This Thanksgiving I am so thankful for the wonderful blessings God has given me. Words cannot describe how thankful I am for my husband, daughter, family, and friends and of course I can't leave out the dogs :)
We are so excited to be celebrating with both my family and Ben's family tomorrow. We are looking forward to great fellowship and great food.
Now onto the good stuff...there has been a little helper that has over taken our house lately even while being sick...She has become such a young lady and I thank the Lord each day I have with her.
Many blessings to each of you this Thanksgiving and remember to make sure that we give thanks the Lord for the many blessings we have, as without him we wouldn't have any of it.
Psalm 100
"Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations."

First Time Out- - - The Lady Bug Girl
Addy made quite a few stops for her first Halloween: First to the hospital to visit Papa Charlie, then to Grandpa Ron and Grandma Dana's, then a walk around their neighborhood and even handed out some candy....then to Nana Paxson's for our last stop. All in all a great first night out with our lady bug girl.

Fun Family Photo Shoot
We were so thankful this year to have my mom take pictures of us for our Christmas card/gifts. We try to always do this each year. We had some fun taking them. Please enjoy! Sorry it took us so long to get them up but we have had a lot on our plate the past weeks.
Thanks mom for your time.... Little Addy didn't want to put her doll down so it looks like we have a 4th family member.

Blessed Beyond Measure
Sometimes I stand amazed at all the blessings in my life. I take for granted each day the little blessings that pass. With all the hustle and bustle of life sometimes what others do for me goes unnoticed and sometimes I forget to even say thanks...
As I have become a mom I have come to realize how blessed I have been with the different people that have played huge roles in my life. If I named all the people that have touched my life in some way, it would take a lifetime.
As a little girl, I didn't know any different; my parents and grandparents were always around. There were ball games, concerts, church activities, birthdays, weddings, and more. My parents did not miss one of my events, ever. They were active in my life from day one. They spent time with us not just by watching but by being active in our daily lives and enriching our lives spiritually.
Also, when I look back I was blessed to have three grandparents that played a huge role in my life. Each sporting event, each birthday...they were there. My grandpa traveled states to see us play sports. If we needed them or wanted them; they were there. Wow...not many can say that.
Lately, I have been thinking of how fortunate I am to have three grandparents that are still with me and still to this day play an active role in my life. They have seen me through my childhood, marriage and now parenthood.
I had the opportunity a few weeks ago to have lunch with all three grandparents at the same time with just me and Addy. It got me thinking of how honored I feel to be their granddaughter. It brings tears to my eyes to think of how blessed I am to be able to still have three grandparents that are always here.
From having visits from Grandpa Ken and Grandma Betty to enjoying lunches with them and watching Grandma try to slip a $20 in my pocket when Addy had colic and could only have expensive formula. With Grandma Anita it has been dinners she provides, pumpkin patches, lunches and style shows. And Grandma Betty Carlson (Ben's grandma) for the tender heart she has and the sweet doll that she gave Addy that Addy never puts down. They were there for Addy's birth and for her dedication to the Lord. I can't name all of the things by any means for all they have done for me. The gratitude I have for them is so great.
And now I see my parents and in-laws becoming grandparents and seeing them do the same. My parents have come to watch Addy during her swimming lessons and seeing her jump off the diving board for the first time and have taken care of her numerous times; taking her on walks and rocking her to sleep. Ben's parents have taken us to WI Dells and MI on family trips and had Addy experience her first water park with Grandpa...playing piano and dancing with Grandma Cathie and sweet kisses from Grandpa Charlie.
I am blessed beyond measure. I am thankful and can't say enough about the legacy that was laid before me. I hope some day that my child can say the same about me.
I am who I am today because of these wonderful people. I am blessed to have parents and grandparents who I adore and love and they have shown me who Christ is because of the love they have given to me over the past 29 years.
Thank you Ron, Dana, Charlie, Cathie, Grandpa Ken, Grandma Betty Ginn and Grandma Anita and Grandma Betty Carlson. Thank you for each showing me what it means to be a follower of Christ. I am thankful to have a little piece of each of you in me. For that I am thankful.

Pine Tree Apple Orchard
Since I was little my parents have always taken us to Pine Tree Apple Orchard. It is a fun place to try apples, have some apple turnovers with cinnamon ice cream and to enjoy the nice fall weather.
This past Sunday Ben and I took Addy to Pine Tree for the first time!! It was so fun. She played in the Pumpkin Patch, walked by all the apple trees and even sampled some goodies. It was fun to watch Addy run up and down the hill and she even kept falling over laughing each time....Another favorite was sitting in the middle of the path playing with dirt and rocks!
Traditions are such a blessing and I am excited to continue them and start our own traditions each year. Ben made one picture but you will have to look very carefully and see. He was behind the camera most of the day :)
