Time to Eat

I find that meal time is one of the hardest times of the day... After a full day with a little girl who rarely naps my energy level is just spent by then. I try to last minute figure out something to make or call the hubby and say...how about a Pizza?  As we all know, out to eat is not necessarily great on the pocket book.

After a great speaker from MOPS came and spoke with us about organization around the house and how to make things more peaceful I decided to start menu planning as my first project. Last week was my first week of actually having a calendar on my frig and on Sunday I planned each meal and what it would be for the week. EXCITING, I know...well maybe I am just excited. We didn't go out to eat once and we tried some new things...

Then, Ben challenged me last week to find 30 different dinner items/ideas so that I have 30 different types of meals for the month! So if you have some great recipes to share or have any other ideas...Let me know!

My goal is to make things a little more easy going so when dinner time comes we can enjoy each other plus what OCD (obsessive compulsive) person doesn't love organization?!

So tonight for dinner it is Chow Mein Hot Dish-recipe from my mom!

(Have to add a cute photo---nothing to do with food)

Fun with Grandma

My mom has been watching Addy for me two Mondays a month so that I can attend MOPS and I am so grateful to have that time and Addy loves spending time with her grandma. We also took a trip to the Pumpkin Patch today with grandma and over the weekend went to MOA. However, I am pretty sure I love just as much being able to be with my mom and daughter at the same time. We had lunch with my Grandma Anita today too. What a blessing; 4 generations together....
